Greeting’s,
I just wanted to share with you my evening at Los Padrinos in Downey. Oh what a night! I was graced with about 10 young girls from the age of 11-14 this evening and as soon as I walked in I saw sweet little girls just sitting and waiting to hear what Ms. Washington was going to share tonight. Little did they know that I had no clue what to share because I ran there after a long exhausting day from work and an appointment with my step daughter, then off the facility. I was beat.
I may have been beat but my Father wasn’t. I just began talking about why they looked so tired as though they had a hard day. This kind of perked them up once I started saying things like” What you had a hard day today taking care of the children and getting your husband off to work, then running off to the grocery store to buy dinner for tonight, pick up the kids from school, greet husband with a smile as if you didn’t have a hard day at all.” When I finished they were laughing at me.
Then I realized and said ”Oh I am sorry you are just little girls. That is when the spirit showed up and they realized that they are little girls and had forgotten that. I talked to them about my little girls that are my grandchildren and how much fun it is to see them play and talk. I asked if they remembered being a little girl, only to find out that most of them couldn’t remember past last year what a little girl does. One girl asked as innocent and searching “What do little girls talk about and do?” WOW this hit me like a rock in the face and I could feel the tears swelling up and me trying to keep them hidden. All the girls chimed in and said “yeah what do they talk about and do, we can’t remember either.
This is why I would like to have a Little Girls day at Los Padrinos, and I need your help if you can spare it. I need to know what do little girls talk about and do from your point of view. Then I would like to ask that you include a new gift to go along with that. Such as little girls like to play tea time and prepare fake meals and serve them, can you include a tea set or a cooking kit of some sort small is fine. Do you see where I am going with this one example? I sure hope so.
If you can do this for me I would like to present this in the next two weeks when I go back in. The examples I have is Barbie Dolls and Ken of course, coloring books with crayons, paper dolls already cutout and ready to play with this one is my favorite. You get now for sure.
Please let me know if you can support and I will make arrangement to pick these up or we can have a drop off day in Long beach for the gifts and ideas. I will see if I can take picture and have them for you through e-mail. I know this will be a day to remember and I would like to thank you in advance for your help. The reason I need new gifts is because you can give anything that has been used or open for security reasons.
